Project Selection Criteria
In evaluating grant applications, the Coordinated Plan Committee and ITCTC will consider the following criteria:
1. Is the proposed activity eligible for funding under JARC or New Freedom programs?
2. Is there a specific target population identified clearly in the project narrative?
3. How will the project improve access and mobility for target populations?
4. Does the project identify unmet mobility needs of the target population and demonstrate how target populations will benefit from the proposed project?
5. How will the project coordinate with existing transportation services in the service area?
6. What activities, milestones or decisions by third parties are necessary to implement the project?
B. Project Budget (20)
1. Show expenses and revenues.
2. What is the local match for this project (non-FTA, local, or in-kind sources)?
3. Does the applicant provide a strategy for sustaining services if future FTA funds are unavailable?
C. Program Outreach (15)
1. How will the project be marketed to the target population and the community?
2. How will the project coordinate with the Way2Go program?
D. Federal Requirements (15)
1. How are project costs and benefits distributed in the service area? Identify impacts on minority, low income, seniors, persons with disabilities, or persons with limited English proficiency?
2. Does the project comply with federal requirements?
